We have been working with specialist architects on the outline design for a new building on the Lymm High School site for the centre for performing arts. It is very early days, and the outcomes of the current consultation will shape the proposals, but we estimate that at approximately 1000 m2 in size, the new centre would cost about £2–3 million to build and equip – which is a very substantial fundraising challenge!

Once the current consultation is complete, we will start seeking funding from a range of sources. We anticipate a shared funding model, with funding and support from local and central government, contributions from other funding organisations, and with a substantial requirement for community and charitable fundraising. We have discussed these plans so far with some key stakeholders and seen nothing but enthusiastic support for the proposal.

So, if you would like to help with fundraising – either as an individual or group, or from a business, local employer or other organisation – please get in touch now! We can then keep you up to date as our fundraising plans develop.
